Blue green algae blooms (cyanobacteria) are gaining a lot of attention as more people become aware of the issues on Lake Erie and Okechobee.  But more frequent and intense blooms are found throughout the US and these have significant impacts on lake health, lake use, economic losses, and public health.  Dr. Pullman provides a view from the perspective of lake front property and pond owners and outlines what can be done to mitigate the consequences of bloom conditions.
