Plant Identification  --  Emergent Weeds  --  Creeping Water Primrose

Treatment Tips: Both plants can live on mud flats and moist soils,so care should be taken to treat these areas.

Description: Erect, rooted herbaceous plant with alternate, oblong leaves.Stem is distinctly jointed. Flowers are small and tightly clustered, andgenerally pink or rose colored. Plant may be emergent in shallow water orcompletely submersed with only the flowers above the surface.

Distribution: Numerous species found throughout the United States.

Recommended Control Method: Mix 1 ounce of 2, 4-D liquid (see label) in 1 gallon of water. Spray directly on plant. Approximately 75 gallons of this solution will be needed to treat 1 acre of plants.
OR
Apply Navigate evenly at the rate of 150 pounds per acre of plants.
Alternate Control Methods: Reward: 1.3 ounces per gallon of water plus non-ionic surfactant.
Shore-Klear: 1 ounce per gallon of water plus non-ionic surfactant.
Weedtrine-D: 6.5 ounces per gallon of water plus non-ionic surfactant. 100 gallons of the above solution(s) will treat 1 acre of plants.
